Next Tour will be in June 2026 - possible locations France or Spain

 

Every two years, NYS Principal and Concert musicians travel to Europe!  In 2024, NYS musicians performed in Salzburg, Vienna, and Prague.  Previous destinations have included Italy, Spain and Portugal, and Germany. Students perform three concerts before appreciative local audiences, visit historic landmarks, and explore beautiful cities, deepening their NYS friendships along the way.

The NYS also organizes a Shadow Tour for families and friends of the performers.  The Shadow Tour goes to the same cities and attends the concerts, with separate hotels and itinerary during the day.  In addition to seeing their musician in concert, Shadow Tour participants dine with the performers several times during the trip. A minimum of 20 participants are needed in order to run a Shadow Tour.
